As a newly founded nonprofit, our work is currently focused on laying the right foundation — so that future water projects are effective, accountable, and lasting.
What Our Work Looks Like Right Now
Overflow Initiative is in its founding phase. In this early season, our work centers on:
- Raising funds for sustainable clean water solutions
- Building strategic partnerships with experienced, on-the-ground organizations
- Preparing for our first funded water projects in East Africa
Rather than rushing to operate independently, we are taking a partnership-first approach that allows us to help communities sooner while building toward long-term capacity.
Current Initiatives
A Partnership-First Approach to Accelerate Impact
Providing clean water requires far more than drilling a well. It involves licensed operations, trained local teams, community engagement, maintenance systems, and long-term accountability.
To steward resources wisely and bring help faster, Overflow Initiative’s first initiative is to partner with trusted organizations that already have this infrastructure in place.
This approach allows us to:
- Deliver clean water to communities more quickly
- Reduce operational and financial risk
- Ensure sustainability and long-term functionality
- Learn directly from experienced field teams
Our First Strategic Partner:
Ugandan Water Project
Overflow Initiative is partnering with Ugandan Water Project, a respected organization with decades of experience delivering clean water solutions across Uganda.
Ugandan Water Project brings:
- Over 20 years of on-the-ground experience
- Licensed drilling teams and local staff
- Proven systems for construction, maintenance, and reporting
- GPS and photo documentation for transparency
- A strong commitment to long-term community ownership
Through this partnership, funds raised by Overflow Initiative will support real, sustainable water projects carried out by experienced local teams — allowing impact to happen now, not years from now.
What We Are Raising Funds For
At this stage, funds raised through Overflow Initiative support:
- Clean water wells and sustainable water systems
- Sanitation and hygiene education (WASH)
- Long-term maintenance and functionality of water sources
- Community training and local ownership
Our goal is not just to provide water — but to ensure it continues flowing for years to come.

As Overflow Initiative grows, our work will expand.
Future phases include:
- Funding and launching our first dedicated projects
- Expanding partnerships into additional regions
- Developing Overflow-led initiatives alongside local teams
- Sharing stories, photos, and measurable impact from the field
